Preparing a good CV

To apply for a US scholarship you need to write a Curriculum Vitae. The word ‘Curriculum Vitae’ literally translated means ‘the story of your life’. In your CV you tell things about your life history, your education, your achievements and your skills.

Before you start to write your CV, keep the next things in mind:

  1. Type your CV.
  2. The CV is never longer than two-pages (A4).
  3. Use a neutral letter type. Use bold or italics to emphasis important words.
  4. Avoid long sentences.
  5. Be positive in your CV.
  6. Write the most recent information first.
  7. Be honest.
