Appropriateness of Studying in the US
The main concern is that your child will enjoy their experience, gain from it, build their confidence and generally come out of it as a better person. All teenagers are different and mature at different stages, emotionally and physically and have different levels of motivation and self-confidence. Any student going to University has to consider how they will cope living away from home. When they have to consider moving half way around the world they need to be independent in mind and attitude and able to cope with the new culture and experiences life at a US Campus University brings to students.
When you receive the scholarship offers consider the different Universities, not just in terms of location (time difference, climate etc), but also in terms of facilities and extra curricular opportunities.
